Shahab Dehghan received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering with high honors from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), Tehran, Iran, 2014. He was an Assistant Professor at QIAU, Qazvin, Iran, 2014-2018. Currently, he is a Research Fellow in Smart Energy Systems at University of Leeds, Leeds, UK.
His Ph.D. thesis was focused on adaptive robust power system planning studies considering high penetration of renewable energy resources. He has published the results of his research in over 20 high-ranked SCI journals. He has been also promoted to a Senior Member of IEEE since 2016.
His research interests include power system economics, operations, and planning. He has excelled in modern optimization techniques, such as applications of convex optimization, stochastic optimization, and robust optimization to transmission and distribution networks.
